When man loses himself in eternal indulgence
When man is caught in web of his own pretense
When man loses a touch of divine compassion
When man is cleaned of humanity, and passion
What is left of a man, I wonder; no more a human
Neither God nor a beast is reckless and inhuman
No more a human ‘being’, that we seek in a man
I say, call it human-’had-been’ is all that we can
